SERVICES MYOPIA CONTROL
SERVICES
MYOPIA CONTROL
Myopia, is one of the most common vision issues, affecting 30% of teens and 90% of Asian adults. People with myopia have trouble seeing things as they get further away, which is why this population is often referred to as “nearsighted.” These vision problems stem from an elongated eyeball and can be treated using standard prescription eyewear like glasses or contacts. At Golden Vision, we fit patients experiencing myopia or hyperopia (farsightedness) with corrective eyewear that strengthens their vision where they need it to, offering specialized contacts and LASIK management in the most severe cases.
My kids have Ortho K and I cannot express how grateful I am to Golden Vision for being so helpful and sweet to my kids. If you need Ortho K or want information in other options they will provide you the information you need.
SERVICES ORTHO-K
Orthokeratology or Ortho-K is a specialized procedure to treat common vision problems like myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. When worn overnight, Ortho-K contact lenses use gentle pressure to temporarily reshape the cornea. When the patient takes the lenses out in the morning, the change in the shape of their cornea will reduce or eliminate the effects of their vision issues throughout the day. At Golden Vision, we commonly use Ortho-K for myopia, because we see so many patients with this particular issue. Ortho-K can be a life-changing treatment for many of our patients.
