At Golden Vision, we offer LASIK co-management services to patients in the San Gabriel and Rowland Heights areas. If you've been considering LASIK for yourself, our optometric team can assist by making sure you're a viable candidate and referring you to our trusted LASIK surgeon. Following your procedure, our eye doctor can also assist with follow-up appointments and making sure your eyes are recovering properly. Ultimately, our goal is to help you optimize your vision and ensure the best possible results from your LASIK procedure.
There are many reasons to consider having LASIK eye surgery done. For starters, if you're unhappy with the way you look in glasses or are simply tired of the daily hassle of wearing corrective lenses, LASIK can help. Most patients who have LASIK done no longer need corrective lenses after their appointment, and are able to perform everyday tasks (such as driving or watching TV) without the need for glasses or contacts.
Another benefit to having LASIK done is for those who lead active lifestyles. If you're an athlete or enjoy spending time being active outdoors, wearing corrective lenses can be a hassle. Glasses have the tendency to slip off the face or become easily scratched/damaged during physical activity, and contacts aren't always comfortable for everyone. With vision correction through LASIK, you'll have more freedom to participate in the activities you want without worrying about glasses or contacts.
At Golden Vision, our optometry team provides a number of services that can help you make the most of your LASIK procedure. For starters, we can begin with a LASIK exam and evaluation, which will help us determine whether or not you are a viable candidate for LASIK. Typically, people over the age of 18 who have had a steady vision prescription for at least 12 months are good candidates. However, those who are pregnant or those with certain eye conditions may not be.
If you are a good candidate for LASIK, we can then provide you with a referral to our trusted LASIK surgeon. Following your procedure, we can work with your surgeon and with you to ensure that your eyes are recovering and healing properly. This is done through follow-up appointments and exams to help to get the most out of your procedure.
If you're interested in finding out more about whether this procedure is right for you, schedule an appointment with our LASIK center here at Golden Vision. You can contact either of our area offices (Rowland Heights or San Gabriel) to request your appointment with us.
