At Golden Vision, our optometrists in San Gabriel and Rowland Heights have treated complex vision conditions for years, and we use that experience to make sure our diagnoses are accurate and our treatments are effective. Whether your condition is mild or severe, acute or chronic, our optometry team will assess your symptoms and overall eye health before designing a custom treatment plan for you.
From common vision conditions and eyelid irritation to diabetic complications and degenerative diseases, any eye condition will interfere with your quality of life. If you suffer from any of the following optometry conditions, we have a variety of treatment options that may alleviate your symptoms and improve your ability to see, focus, play, learn, work, drive, and more:
Nearsightedness (myopia) and farsightedness (hyperopia) occur when the cornea is too curved or too flat. While laser eye surgery is an option for some patients, we treat most vision conditions with corrective eyewear and regular eye exams.
This progressive, often age-related eye condition eventually causes irreversible vision loss, but we try to diagnose it before any vision loss occurs, then track its pace and help you prevent complete loss of your central vision.
Cloudy lenses may develop at any age, but they're most common after age 55. If your treatments begin early enough, we may be able to stop the formation of cataracts and subsequent vision loss without surgical intervention. We also offer cataract removal surgeries to restore vision.
If your retina is peeling away from its supportive tissue, we will do our best to prevent vision loss and detachment by treating the localized damage and preventing further deterioration.
This inflammatory infection develops when overactive oil glands promote bacteria growth in the eyelids, causing crusting, itching, swelling, and more. We will recommend warm soaks and daily cleaning at home, but we may also offer antibiotic creams.
Hot and cold therapy, medicated drops and gels, and over-the-counter medications may help soothe the redness, irritation, and vision problems associated with this infection.
Fluid buildup in the eye will put pressure on your optic nerve, preventing it from relaying the right vision signals, but complete vision loss is preventable with early detection and treatment. Regular optometric exams allow us to detect signs of glaucoma early enough for treatment, so some patients don't lose any vision at all.
We have two optometric centers for your convenience, so make sure you request an appointment at the center closest to you. Visit us at Golden San Gabriel Optometric Vision Center in San Gabriel, or come to Golden Rowland Heights Optometry if you live closer to Rowland Heights.
Our full-service optometry centers are equipped to handle your eye emergencies. In addition to regular appointments for eye exams and treatments, we accept walk-in patients with time-sensitive injuries, complications, and symptoms.
